Prove AI skill with work you can explain.
Employers learn more from a specific example than from “proficient in AI.” Show the task, how you used AI, how you checked the output, and what improved.
What a strong example includes
- The work problem you were trying to solve.
- The AI tool or method you used and why.
- The prompt, workflow, or process you developed.
- How you verified facts, quality, privacy, and accuracy.
- What you changed yourself instead of accepting the first output.
- A realistic result such as time saved, clearer writing, faster research, better consistency, or a useful work sample.
Resume example
Instead of: “Skilled in ChatGPT and AI.”
Try something specific: “Used generative AI to create first drafts of recurring customer-response templates, then verified details and edited tone before use, reducing drafting time while keeping human review.”
Only use numbers you can support. Do not invent percentages or results simply to make a bullet sound stronger.
